What you’ll do
1. Unbox & power on
Open the package, plug the Ledger into your computer or phone, and follow on-device prompts. Only approve actions on the device screen — never on your computer alone.
2. Install Ledger Live
Download Ledger Live from the official site (link provided on your device card) and install the companion app to manage accounts, install apps and send/receive tokens.
3. Set a PIN & write the recovery
Choose a PIN you’ll remember but is hard to guess. Ledger will display a recovery phrase — write it down on the supplied card and store it offline. Do not photograph or share it.
4. Install crypto apps
In Ledger Live, install apps for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other chains you use. Each app isolates that blockchain’s keys for safer operation.
